Terms & Conditions

  • The Championship (“Championship”) is open to all students of affiliated Management Institutes in India.
  • A team can consist of only 2 members and there is no restriction on the number of teams participating from one Institute.
  • This is an Institutional level competition. No entry fee is payable for participation in the Championship
  • Registrations for the Championship shall be accepted online through this website
  • Incomplete registrations will be rejected without accounting for any reason.
  • A Committee “The Grand Masters Committee” of the Organizer shall administer the Championship and all related matters.
  • Participants will need to produce valid identity cards issued by the institution on request.
  • A panel of Juries shall adjudge the winners of Round(s)/ Contest based on criteria’s earmarked. Decision of the Juries shall be final and binding upon the participants.
  • All rights and intellectual property rights including but not limited to the rights of reproduction, publishing, broadcasting, translating and modifying in any material whatsoever including but not limited to case studies, reports, reviews, analysis etc. submitted to participate in the Championship by the students shall be held, assigned to and owned by the Organizer on submission to the Organizer.
  • Institutes/students undertake to indemnify and keep the Organizer indemnified against any action, claim or demand including the infringement or passing off action of the intellectual party rights or data protection made against the Organizer by participation in the Championship or any material submitted in the Championship.
  • The National Finals winners of Grand Masters 2008-2009 of the Quiz & Debate hereby undertake and give their no objection in endorsing the products of the Sponsors for a period of 1 year by their participation in the Championship and to follow the rules and regulations with respect to the same.
  • Grouping of B-school for any particular round of the Championships is solely at the discretion and option of the Grand Masters Committee on selected criterias.
  • Participant in one team will not be allowed to be interchanged, replaced, proxied in any rounds of the Championship except as permitted by the Organisers.
  • All times lines provided shall be adhered by the Institues/ student failing which, their participation may be rejected at the discretion of the Organizer.
  • Zonal rounds will be held in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore.Zonal round winners will participate in the National Finals to be held in Mumbai.
  • All selected B-schools/participants will be intimated individually about the program structure.
  • All rights are reserved to cancel, withdraw, extend or amend the terms of the Championship, venue, selection procedure, rule or regulation without prior intimation.
  • Grand Masters Committee will not be responsible for delays in receipt of the registration or any other subsequent correspondence with the Business schools.
  • The decision of the Grand Masters Committee will be final and binding on all participants.
  • The participating students must wear their participation-badges, and adhere to dress code/uniforms at all times during the course of the Championship event.
  • The Organizer shall not have any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred (whether directly or indirectly) by any participant in consequence of any cancellation, change, postponement or amendment of the Grand Masters Championship.
  • Travel for regional rounds is the responsibility of the participant/institute. Outstation participants (not belonging to Regional round cities and near by areas) should indicate if they require accommodation, assistance may be provided by the Organizer. Accommodation would be strictly on first come first serve basis only based on availability. Travel reimbursements is applicable only for "AC two tier travel"
  • Stay and travel for the National Finals will be borne by Grand Masters. Travel for all the finalists will be arranged from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata only excluding all local expenses of travelling.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-cashable, non re-routable or non-extendable.
  • All applicable taxes, cess, levies, charges etc. or any shortfall thereto on the Prizes shall be paid and borne by the winners.
  • The Organizers shall not be liable for any claim or demand relating to the warranty, guarantee, and merchantability of the product, quantity, quality, service or fitness for any particular purpose offered as Prizes.
  • The winners of the Championship shall be responsible and at its cost, to collect the prizes won.
  • Prizes unclaimed for a period of 30 days after the declaration of the winner shall be liable to be forfeited.
  • Organizers shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage (all direct, indirect, incidental and consequential) of whatsoever nature and kind caused to the Institute and/or the students for the participation or non participation in the Championship. Participation in the Championship is totally the student(s)/ Institution(s) prerogative.
  • Family members and close relatives of the employees of The Times Group, Citi, Bates, and sponsor companies are not eligible to participate in this Championship.
  • The Organizers shall not be obliged to entertain queries, claims or complaints in or in relation to the contest.
  • Any dispute, issue, controversy, difference, demand, claim in or in relation to this Championship shall be referred to sole arbitration of the Grand Masters Committee and shall be final and binding upon the parties. The arbitration shall be held in Mumbai in English and held in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and conciliation Act, 1996 and amendments thereto.
  • The courts in Mumbai shall have jurisdiction in relation to all matters in or in relation to the Championship.
